Lying Here
As i’m lying here.
Cold && helpless.
I think to myself.
What if I hadn’t.
Ever loved you.
What if every day.
I didn’t know.
That you existed.
What if i never.
Met you.
Would that save.
Your life.
Would you still.
Be here today.
Walking the earth.
Breathing Freely.
I will never know.
I love you.

this poem reminds me of one of my favourite movies: ‘city of angels’… do you know it? it’s about an angel who gives up his eternity for the woman he fell in love with…but he only gets to spend one day with her, because she dies and he remains human..alone, and loving her….and he wonders what if he’d never shown himself to her? what if he’d never became part of her life..would she have lived longer?? and he gets to the conclusion that he would make it again and again..lose his eternity, his powers and fall from the palm of god….just to feel her hand, to kiss her lips, to feel her warmth, just once……………… Great poem….it really left me dreaming all day….
