My Darling Daughter
I know you were sent to me from above,
We taught you to talk, we taught you to love.
I’ve always been there to comfort you,
But you have been there for me too!
I remember holding you as a child,
You laughed and giggled and always smiled.
I’ve thought of you as my best friend,
On you I know I can always depend.
Even now with your own family,
I know you’ll still have time for me.
On your wedding day, I will remember the years,
I know I will wipe away a few tears.
As we are approaching your wedding day.
There are so many things I still want to say,
If you ever need me, I will always be there,
Afterall I’m your Mom, and I will always care.
I hope that I have made it clear,
That you are my daughter and I love you dear.
