Its taken a long time for me to see how many true friends I really have
I can count on one hand who’d come to my rescue
As sad as it is I’m glad I don’t have to waste any more time on another fair weathered friend
Here today and no where to be seen tomorrow
No text, no call no sightings at all
There have been days I’ve sat alone and cried in my tissue wishing I could just talk to you
Nights of confusion when your advice would have been accepted with thanks
Moments when I just needed a good friend
You call me when you need a friend
You pick up the phone when you need a shoulder
You text when your feeling bored
You’re all up for hanging out when it benefits you
You email me when you’re skint and need something urgently
You ask me out when nobody else will go
You want to chat for hours on end when you’ve just been dumped
Yet you can’t be bothered when I need you
You don’t answer to my calls when I need somebody at the end
You don’t reply my text when sometimes its needed
You will realise now it’s gone, the loyal friend you’ve lost
You knew what it was to have a trustworthy friend
You had a friend who’d drop everything to come to help you out
You once had a friend who’d given you her last cent
Don’t call me next time your man drops you, when you get the sack, when you just need a shoulder because when your needed your no where to be seen. To me you are just a fair weather friend who don’t deserve to know me!
