Love Poems, Poetry about Love

If There’s…

If there’s one face I want to see,
so beautiful, so true,
one smile that makes a difference,
to everything I do.

If there’s one touch I long to feel,
one voice I long to hear,
whenever I am happy,
or just needing someone near.

If there’s one joy, one love,
from which I never want to part,
it’s you, my very special love,
my world, my life, my heart.

- John Ragland -

If You Are Not Meant To Be…….

If where not mean for each other…..
If your not meant to be mine….
This love will stay in my mind….
Though i didn’t have a chance to tell you what i really fell…
Though you don’t love me even once in my hurt you still here….
If you will never be mine….
You’ll still a part of me you’ll always be in my thoughts….
Even though you don’t love me….
If there will be time for us….
If my hopesand dreams will go to none…
If you’re not meant to be mine….
I don’t wanna look for someone……

Into my eyes….

Your voice like an angel…
Whispering nothing.
Need to hear you
Peircing through me like electricity
Hold on and I will never let go
See beauty in your everlasting light
Surroungs me with ease
No comprehension allowed
Only feeling
Deep desire
Did you float down here for me?
Can you feel it?
Exhale… all the pain
Inhale… all the joy I will bring you
Needing… deep down inside
Burnning flame that wont go out
Just to see you smile
Hear the comfort in your voice
Caress me like silk
OOOOHHHH WOW
I need a miracle!

Its all Because of you

Its all because of you,
I’m never sad and blue,
You’ve brightened up my day’s
In you own special way.

How can I get you to understand,
That I love you more than I can,
How can I get you to see,
Your the only girl for me,

Its all because of you,
My dreams came true,
Your everything Ive wished for,
and I could never wish for more.

I cant describe how much I care,
But when you need me I will be there,
To wipe your tears when you are sad,
To make you happy when you are mad,

Nobody is as special as you are to me,
Now I hope you are beginning to see,
Just how much I care for you,
And all my feeling will always be true.

love

Love so beautiful and sweet,
But can pass by your eyes in an instance,
Leaving you behind heart broken,
Wondering what went wrong,
What you had done,
You get lost,
Forgetting everything around you,
Thinking only of him,
Fighting back the sorrow,
Slowly moving forward,
Looking over the edge,
Pending on whether to jump or not,
Thinking to yourself,
There’s nothing left here for me,
Then you think back,
And see how life’s going to have many struggles,
You take a step back,
And when you turn around,
He’s there,
But not for you,
The pain all comes rushing back,
And you fall,
Trying not to let him see,
But you know he does,
You try to run away but you can’t,
The memory of him still haunts you,
Making you want to turn around,
To say you love him,
But it won’t make a difference,
Not knowing what to say,
He’ll say I can’t,
And you’ll sit alone,
And wonder why.

Love Forgive Me

Love, forgive me if I wish you grief,
For in your grief
You huddle to my breast,
And for it
Would I pay the price of your grief.

You walk among men
And all men do not surrender,
And thus I understand
That love reaches his hand
In mercy to me.

He had your picture in his room,
A scurvy traitor picture,
And he smiled
—Merely a fat complacence of men who
know fine women—
And thus I divided with him
A part of my love.

Fool, not to know that thy little shoe
Can make men weep!
—Some men weep.
I weep and I gnash,
And I love the little shoe,
The little, little shoe.

God give me medals,
God give me loud honors,
That I may strut before you, sweetheart,
And be worthy of—
The love I bear you.

Now let me crunch you
With full weight of affrighted love.
I doubted you
—I doubted you—
And in this short doubting
My love grew like a genie
For my further undoing.

Beware of my friends,
Be not in speech too civil,
For in all courtesy
My weak heart sees specters,
Mists of desire
Arising from the lips of my chosen;
Be not civil.

The flower I gave thee once
Was incident to a stride,
A detail of a gesture,
But search those pale petals
And see engraven thereon
A record of my intention.

Love is forever

It’s funny how times change
a year ago I never knew love
the world seemed cold and strange
I couldn’t tell when push came to shove

Then one night an angel came
now she didn’t have wings of gold
but she looked upon me with no shame
took my hand and did not let go

she led me through the hard days
and made me laugh when down
I realized the errors of my ways
and no longer needed a reason to frown

She never looked upon my outside
only the heart that beat within
my feelings I can no longer hide
I want to be with her till the end

This person who I never met
only saw in a picture or two
and talked to over the internet
but, deep down we both knew

We fell in love from the inside out
probably from that first night
and left us no reason to doubt
that this love is so right…

Love is Just a Game of Make-believe

Love is just a game of make-believe,
Meant for you and meant for me,
we just go around in circles
crying, and lying ,laughing ,and smiling,
hoping and praying it will all go right,
but in the end it falls apart,
and feels like it breaks your heart,
it was just a game of makebelieve,
meant for you and meant for me,
to make-believe that we were actually meant to be.

Love Me So Much

Love me so much
that I can show you to my close friends,
take you to the parties
of the sexiest of men;
let you spend an evening
with a person unknown to me,
or go on a business trip
of a few days with your handsome boss;
scold you, beat you, nay…
love you, kiss you amidst thousand people;
and do all of it,
without fear of losing you.
Losing you to someone else…
Love me so much
Or you love me not.
Oh, no, you love me not.

Love Poem

Suzy Lee fell in love.
She planned to marry Joe.
She was so happy ’bout it all,
She told her pappy so.

Pappy told her, “Suzy Gal,
You’ll have to find another.
I’d just as soon yo maw don’t know,
But Joe is yo half-brother.”

So Suzy forgot about her Joe
And planned to marry Will.
But after telling Pappy this,
He said, “There’s trouble still.”

“You can’t marry Will, my gal,
And please don’t tell yo mother,
But Will and Joe and several mo
I know is yo half-brother.”

But Mama knew and Mama said,
Child, do what makes you happy”.
Marry Will or marry Joe,
You ain’t no kin to Pappy
