Missing You Poems, Poetry about missing your loved ones

With leaden foot Time creeps along
While Delia is away:
With her, nor plaintive was the song,
Nor tedious was the day.

Ah, envious Pow’r! reverse my doom;
Now double thy career,
Strain ev’ry nerve, stretch ev’ry plume,
And rest them when she ’s here!

by Richard Jago

Alone Without You

Alone I sit here in the night
With stars and moon that shine so bright
No shadow here just a glimmering light
And a gentle breeze that kiss the leaves goodnight

Alone I sit now that you’ve gone away
I miss you more and more each day
No more can I kiss your soft tender lips
No hands to hold or touch each finger tips

Alone I sit and look at your chair
How empty it is you’re no longer there
No more can I see your loving smile
Or hold and hug you or smell your hair

Alone I sit what shall I do
My love for you and always so true
And never ever shall that love end
When some day we shall again

Bottom Of The Ocean

It’s been in the past for a while
I get a flash and a smile
am I crazy still miss ya baby
it was real it was right
but it burned ur heart to survive
where did the love go
I don’t know
when its all set and done
how could I be loosen you forever
after all the times we spent together
have to know why I had to loose you
now you’ve just become like everything I’ll never find again
P.s. you cant shoot an arrow through a broken heart.

Do you still love me?

Don’t love me like a flower, flowers dry out in the summer heat,
Love me like a river, coz river water has a constant beat,
I loved you but just couldn’t tell you,
I didn’t know that you had loved me too.

I met you somewhere, I don’t remember when,
I was too bold and you were too shy then,
I remember the days we would spend just talking,
And at nights just kept on waiting.

I remember how I made you cry that day,
I remember the promises I had to make,
I remember the walks back home,
The long chats on the phone.

I still remember the way you looked at me,
When I said no to marry you,
Your eyes wanted some sign,
To reassure you that I still loved you.

I remember how we fought on silly things,
On how to cook or how to mend broken links,
I remember the way you sang that night,
I try to forget that with all my might.

I don’t know whether you remember those evenings or not,
I don’t know whether you have forgotten my love or what,
But I still love you with all my heart,
I will keep loving you till I breathe my last…

Your smile speak sweetness
Your eyes twinkle like stars
Your hand touch me like magic
My heart treamble
I think of you at night
When my weary mind atrest
In my dream i kiss you
With all my heart cares
When my eyes open at dawn
Yyou were just a dream in my rest…..

Endless nights

That unforgettable crisis
and dose cruel sights
empowered with distress
and dose endless nights
Lives facing dilema
veder accompany or die
things passing unconditionally
and unfavourable are the nights
floor constituting blood sheds
cries spreading thru the sky
almighty being rude
and endless are the nights
unseen are the woes
the dose screaming infants
hoping everything to be fine
but still endless are the night.

Even though you are not with me

I know you are in a better place,
But i wish that i could see your face,
I know you are where you need to be,
Even though its not here with me.

Full Moon

No longer throne of a goddess to whom we pray,
no longer the bubble house of childhood’s
tumbling Mother Goose man,

The emphatic moon ascends–
the brilliant challenger of rocket experts,
the white hope of communications men.

Some I love who are dead
were watchers of the moon and knew its lore;
planted seeds, trimmed their hair,

Pierced their ears for gold hoop earrings
as it waxed or waned.
It shines tonight upon their graves.

And burned in the garden of Gethsemane,
its light made holy by the dazzling tears
with which it mingled.

And spread its radiance on the exile’s path
of Him who was The Glorious One,
its light made holy by His holiness.

Already a mooted goal and tomorrow perhaps
an arms base, a livid sector,
the full moon dominates the dark.

Goodbye,I love you

When I looked in your eyes
I fell in love
All I saw was the stars above

When I held your hand
As we walked on the sand
I knew you were the one who I will be with forever

When you sang
It sounded like birds singing
And the church bells ringing

I thought we’ll never be apart
But then what I saw broke my heart
You were gone
What went wrong

I thought I was dreaming
But it was true

Now I will never see her eyes
Nor hold her hand
Nor hear her voice

I wish it wasn’t your time to go
But now I will never know
What it would’ve been like.

I wish you could come back
I never got to say I love you
Or goodbye

So I guess it wasn’t meant to be
But if you can hear
I love you

Hard To Forget

I really want to forget
that we had ever met
but you’re clinging too tight
haunting my lonely nights
I tried to go to places far from here
yet it’s still your voice I want to hear
your face and smile I want to see
it’s always with you I want to be
Hope you’ll be the one for me
coz’ i can’t afford to set you free
though we’re a million miles apart
you’ll still be the one in my heart
